Paint the bird's body and face on your paper mache egg. Let dry.
Download and print the template. Trace outlines of each shape onto the colored cardstock paper.
Cut out shapes from the cardstock paper with an X-ACTO knife.
TIP: A Cricut machine works even better for paper cutting!
Use Matte ModPodge and a small paintbrush to assemble the wings, beak and tail. Let dry.
Attach the eye and wing onto the egg with hot glue. Let cool.
Cut slits into the egg for the beak and tail.
Carefully place pieces together. Reinforce with glue, if needed. Let dry.
