About this Project

We're up to our eyeballs in pom-poms this Halloween! Pop out a pretty blue-eyed ball or get a little creepy with a blood-shot, pink-eye and irritated iris.

Create your own, snap a picture, and share using #ACMooreInspired.

    Normal Eye:

Wrap a small section of black in center of one side of the pom-pom maker, this will be your pupil. A thicker, even section will give a rounder appearance, a thinner section on the ends will create a slitted pupil (like a cat or reptile).

Wrap a layer of desired iris color over the pupil, making it slightly wider. Thickness will determine how much iris is showing.

Wrap remaining area with white yarn. Wrap second half in only white yarn. Cut along channels, tie with tight double knot and remove from maker. Trim to desired shape.

    Blood Shot Eye:

Wrap a small section of black in center of one side of the pom pom maker, this will be your pupil.

Wrap a layer of iris color over the pupil making it slightly wider than the pupil.

Wrap remaining area with white, adding random wraps of red (the more red wraps, the more bloodshot the eye looks). Wrap second half in white yarn, with random wraps of red. Cut along channels, tie with tight double knot and remove from maker. Trim to desired shape.
