  • 1
Wrap a thin layer of pink yarn around one half of the pom-pom maker. Add a few randomly spaced strands of black yarn. (These will be the seeds!) Cover with another thin layer of pink and repeat until filled. Tip: When alternating layers, hold your unused color to the side until the next time you need it; no need to cut every time you switch colors. Close first half of maker.
  • 2
Wrap second half of pom-pom maker with alternating stripes of light green and dark green. Continue wrapping until almost full. Wrap a thin layer of white over the entire half of the pom-pom maker. Close second half.
  • 3
Use scissors to cut in channel of pom-pom maker all the way around. Make sure to keep pom-pom maker closed.
  • 4
Cut a short strand of yarn and wrap around pompom maker in between channel. Tie a secure knot by looping string through twice then tightening.
  • 5
Remove from pom-pom maker. Trim to desired shape.
