Mix equal parts black paint and water with a craft stick. Using the foam brush, begin to layer on the paint. Continue to paint until the pot is fully coated in black paint. Repeat on all four pots. Let dry.

Mix together equal parts white paint and water. Dip the 4-inch pot into the paint mixture for one minute. Remove, dipping less of the pot each time, and let dry. Repeat until the desired ombre effect is created. Let dry.

Using a white paint marker, create patterns on the 6- and 8-inch pots. On the 12-inch pot, create patterns on the different reassembled broken pot pieces. Let dry.
