Cut, tie, and braid 14" braids of yarn in coordinating color schemes. Tie both ends together to secure.
Wrap yarn around 2.5" x 2.5" cardboard square 15 times. Loop 6" piece of yarn through cardboard square, then tie together. Remove from cardboard and cut the opposite end to create a tassel. Create 24 tassels.
Secure tassels onto pillowcase with embroidery floss and needle. Create 3 rows of 8 tassels to fill bottom section of pillow. Trim as needed.
Take a color-coordinating length of embroidery floss and sew it into the braid, starting on one end of the pillowcase. String the floss through the braid and into the pillowcase to secure. Repeat until braid is fully secure. Cut ends of yarn to create a clean edge.
Fill pillow with Poly-Fil or pillow insert.
