    Download and print template.

Paint entire pumpkin with two light coats of chalk paint (optional). Let dry.

Using wire cutters, cut flowers, leaves, and other materials from selected bunches. Place all flowers and materials into the long side of the plant foam. Carefully place the block of foam into the pumpkin, with all flowers attached. Work the flowers into the branches of the tree, placing smaller pieces so they stick out of the pumpkin. Adhere leaves, branches, and other small elements outside of the pumpkin with hot glue. Let dry.
  • 3
Work the LED lights into the inside of the pumpkin, evenly spacing all lights throughout the flowers. Place the battery box in the back of the pumpkin, behind the plant foam. Re-insert the saved wedge to the back of the pumpkin.
  • 4
Trace a large circle into the front of the pumpkin, then draw in the tree branches using the template. With an X-Acto knife, cut out the traced area, including the branches that you have drawn. Cut large wedge out of the back of the pumpkin to place flowers. Save the wedge for later. Sand down rough edges with sandpaper.
