Apply one coat of wood stain to ledge. Let dry.
Apply desired stencil to the ledge. Use a foam brush to lightly dab a few layers of white paint. Remove the stencil and let dry. Lightly sand surface and stenciled design to create a rustic look. Wipe with cloth.
Paint all three mason jars with 2-3 coats of chalk paint. Let dry.
Attach clamps to mason jars. Using quick grip glue, adhere the clamp opening to the flat side of the wood ledge. Place the ledge on its back, with the stenciled surface facing up. Let dry.
Plant herbs into each jar. Hang ledge onto wall.
