About this Project

We’re batty over this colorful Pastel Bat Wreath! Take some chenille stems and turn an ordinary wreath form into something scary cute for Halloween.

    Download and print out template. Trace wings and bat body onto colorful foam, cut out and set wings aside. Wrap foam bat body in chenille stems (in the color of your choice) from bottom to top. Wrap remaining excess chenille stem around ears of bat and secure with hot glue. Let cool.

    Attach wings to the back of the bat body with hot glue and let cool.

    Wrap entirety of wreath in black chenille stems. Tie down to secure or use hot glue if needed. Wrap colorful chenille stems around each connector and tie down to secure in place.

    Cut out a 4" x 4” square of cardboard. Wrap yarn around cardboard square 40 times. Cut a 6” piece of yarn and loop through yarn on the cardboard, then tie together. Remove from cardboard and cut the opposite end to create a tassel. Create 10 tassels. Use 6” tied piece of yarn to attach tassels to the bottom of the wreath.

    Cut out 1.5" x 1.5” squares of various colorful foam. Attach sticker letters to foam squares, then trim squares down if needed. Lay out (3) 10” pieces of yarn. Apply letter squares to yarn with hot glue and let cool. Attach yarn to both sides of inner wreath ring to set in place.

    In an upwards direction, attach bats to the wireform wreath with hot glue and let cool. Hang wreath on your front door for spook-tacular Halloween décor.
