Last year for six very dear friends, I search the web for a year and found many recipes for gift making. But these gifts were for the recepient to make. Dry ingredients to make soup, pasta supper, drinks, etc. I typed up each recipe, added clip art of at least one ingredient to each one and placed in a sheet protector. Placed more than 100 of these in a three ring binder. Also included a chapter with ideas of how to package the gifts. In mason jars, baskets, lunch pails, checkerboard cloths tied with rafia, etc. Called the book "Gifts From The Heart And Hearth."

Once known for a brief time as Adele...

Remember, Oh My is not God's first name nor is Da*m It God's last name.

You'll be able to take advantage of the after Christmas sales on the bright clear chasing lights. They would work really well for this event. Almost like a disco effect.

These are some really great ideas. One year we decorated boxes and filled them with all occasion cards and stamps for my grandmothers. They didn't really want more stuff, but they both liked sending out cards to others and weren't always able to get out to the store and the post office.

That's a great idea! As a newly addicted cardmaker I might just do this. I am making photo boxes for each one to put the handmade cards that we will send them next year in. I will do this every year so they have a nice way to store them. But I like the idea of giving cards for them to send too...

I made these about twelve years ago. I made them for family and neighbors. They went over so well that the following year I sold them. The Hubby made me a tall pvc pole with arms to display them on during the holidays. I stuck a For Sale sign on them and I couldn't keep up with the orders that first year. I was making these until 2:00am each morning. I used the multi-color flashing lights that have patterns to them. Purchased them the year before during the after Christmas sales at about 75% off.

My mother had one of those in Key West. She paid a bundle for it too! They are very pretty when they are lit.

These might make a cute gift. I may have to do these up with a photo of my daughter's English Bulldog for a Christmas gift!

Don't forget to add to your handmade gifts by attaching a handmade Christmas Card and handmade gift tag.

These could either complement the gift ( eg color etc) or complement the person ( eg make the card/tag in their favorite color or theme).
