I found this really cute and fast pattern for plant holders on the website and I had to share with you. I wish I had found this pattern weeks ago. They would probably have sold at my craft show. Below is the link. When I get a chance, I'll post pics of the ones I did. http://www.jpfun.com/patterns/free/miscellaneous/f114008shellsplanthanger.shtml

Sorry this is so big - I can't get it to re-size - but I'm making this afghan, in the shades of brown, for my MIL. It's so easy - it's just solid granny squares, sewn together to form the lattice pattern!

One of my neighbors asked me to make him an afghan, replicating the colors of the African flag.
So, I am making a striped afghan, using just the single crochet stitch, in the following colors:
Black = representing "power" Red = representing "the blood they shed" Green = representing "the earth" Yellow = representing "the sun".
This was the order and interpretation given to me by his wife.
I will post a picture of it when finished.

In this forum the Attach Button is missing, it is the strange little square to the left of the "Edit" button. All of the purple forums are like that.

Those hot pads work up so nicely and quick. I made about four of them for the church's next fair in November. (I believe in being early.) The woman who heads the fair thinks they will be a big seller and wanted to know if I could make more or if I would give her the pattern. I will make more and I did give her the pattern. Like you, she will be giving them as gifts as well as for the fair. If you use white as the main color and use another color for the second, they are bound to match someone's kitchen. When I get back to making them I am going to experiment and try to reduce the pattern so they can made into matching pot holders.

I was also thinking about using a larger hook and try to make placemats with the pattern If you sell them, what would you charge for them as a hotpad When I first laid eyes on them, I thought there is no way I would be able to do them No one needs to know how easy they really are to make, do they Thanks
