Every year I make something for my friends for the Holidays. One year I did Post-it note holders, another I did clip boards, and last year I made mini flap-book scrapbooks that everyone could just paste their pictures into. This year I've gone a little more practical and I am painting tote bags for everyone! I figured they are useful cuz you can use them as reusable grocery bags.
Here's the first two I painted. They will all have different designs.

Cool! I have some bags made, but haven't decided on my design yet. Gonna put some in a craft sale in December.

When it comes to artistic talent such as you have, I have no hands at all and no imagination. I couldn't draw a straight line with a whole set of rulers. I envy anyone who can do what you do. Beautiful work!!

Thanks Addie, but I can't draw at all! I always start with a pattern! I am a crafter not an artist.

Wow....nice gifts! What kind of pattern do you use...an iron on? What did you color them with...the coloring is gorgeous! Love the sparkly paint on the first bag.

Peace

I copied the pattern from a book with painting patterns for tote bags. I just transfered with graphite, painted with regular acrylic paints and used my Stickles liberally!

They are fantastic. I love tote bags. I have a couple I've been working on for my sister (she loves them too) Maybe if I get them finished (smile) I'll post them.

BeAuTiFuL totes you're doing up Piggy. I love the idea. Useful for sure with more and more people trying to do away with getting the plastic bags everytime they purchase something. Love the designs!!! happy Keep sharing the pics with us. happy
