Points are accumulated for each post that you make. Deleting a post will result in a reduction of points to the original grant amount.

Points are used to designate levels of participation within the site (Newby, Advanced, etc) and gives others a sense of your contributions and knowledge. We are looking at the potential of using points for future promotions as well.
