Who else here loves the theater besides me? I am a Broadway buff and I love going into the city to see plays. I've seen probably around 20 plays--all thanks to my Mom.

My favorite play was Les Miserables, I've seen it 3 times. I also really loved Wicked and Jersey Boys.

I wish my family had been into broadway shows when I was a kid but with four kids there wasn't money for those extras. It took my son becoming a musician to expose me to some great musicals. Have really enjoyed the Music Man, Phantom, Sweeney Todd and Mamma Mia. When he was in high school he played in Brigadoon and Bye Bye Birdie. Just thinking about this makes me feel like tuning into the Broadway music channel on DirecTv. Thanks for starting this thread. Hope more people post.

CraftyJo, I didn't see my first play until I was 20 years old. I can't afford it either but luckily my mother treats me a lot.

I would like to see Sweeney Todd, I've seen the movie with Johnny Depp and I LOVE it. I listen to the soundtrack all the time.

I really enjoyed Mamma Mia also. It was a fun play.

We just saw West Side Story in September, it was so good. And for my son's Communion my mother and mother in-law took him to see his first play and his first trip into the city. We saw The Little Mermaid and we loved it. Ariel is my favorite Disney princess.

Scrap4you, that's one I haven't seen. I heard good things about it.
