9 kids, I bet the holidays are a blast in your house. There are only 5 of us and our 7 kids and we make a ton of noise.

I love big families. They just seem to have so much fun. I grew up in a time when big families were the norm. All my girlfirends had large families. And a lot of them had their grandmothers living with them. I had many Sunday dinners with my Italian girlfriends. There would always be at least ten at the table and most often more. Lots of food, lots of laughter. and lots of love.
Once known for a brief time as Adele... Remember, Oh My is not God's first name nor is Da*m It God's last name.

Wow Bluu, that's a big family. How do you find time to do any crafts? I have 2 kids and some days I don't even have enough time to sneeze.

When I was growing up, my Moms mother lived with us most of the time after my grandfather passed away. My grandmother could be hard to get along with, and very critical, but I have fond memories of her teaching me to write in cursive (using a Bible of my grandfathers to write from) and making my lunch on days my Mom worked. My mother was not always patient with her mom, and my dad had all 5 of us kids to house and feed etc. and my grandmother did not make it easy. Now my husband and I are taking care of his mother and his brother, full time, as I commute to Jacksonville to work 3 days a week. Hubby has not been to our home in Jax in nearly 5 years, as we cannot leave her alone now at all. It is hard to get the youngest brother to come and do his share...always too BUSY....In all this time they have come a total of 15 days to give us a break. I had to rant...sorry ladies.

Deeann, that sounds like a lot on your plate. It's great of you to be taking care of your family that way, especially when others don't do their share. All the good things you do will come back to you.
