There are LOTS of ways to host a swap, this is what I have done in the past. Please do not think this is a "policy" or "set rules" a few members e-mailed me and asked so I a providing my method here.
Happy Swapping!

Choose what you are gonna swap...scrapbook pages (size), cards, granny squares, quilt blocks, Christmas ornaments, etc.
Post to the appropriate forum that you are interested in hosting a swap.
You can decide as the host or as a group what colors, style, etc.
Set a time frame for people to join your swap.
Set a time for the swap to be complete.
Set a date for all swap packs to be mailed to you, and a date (about a week) that you will mail packs back to members.
About the postage...
You can handle postage two ways (that I know of)
1. Everyone mails their swap items to a host who sorts and mails them back out to members in SASE's.
2. Members get a list and they mail their swap items to each member of the swap as they complete them.
A few words of caution:
Postage on envelopes should be STAMPS and not metered postage. Most post offices only honor metered postage ON THE DAY IT IS PURCHASED. Been burned by that one before...
If a member is overseas you will have to complete a customs form...it's not long or complicated but you will have to go to the PO to get one...
Have more thoughts? PM me and I will add them to the tutorial.
